Example of how an Vidyo-room looks like

Received Vidyo invitation

Make sure you have the Vidyo software installed on your machine/device before the meeting.

UiB client machines:

NON-client machines; Private machines or devices(Tablets/Phones)

Download the software for your machine/device

The webpage detects which unit you are using (PC, Mac or iPhone/Android) and directs you to the right version automatically.

Join the meeting

1.Click the first link in the e-mail invitation you received. (With the invitation key)

  • If the software is installed correctly(See first part of guide), it shall open automatically and you’ll see a window where you can enter your preferred screen name

2.Enter preferred screen name (i.e. your name or department) and press «Connect to conference».

Invite participants to a Vidyo-conference

Only UoB employees have the possibility to invite other participants (any external or internal user) to a Vidyo-conference.

1.Make sure the software is installed properly. (See first part of guide)

Log in with the following details:
Username: <Your UoB User name>
Password: <Your UoB password>

2.After logging in, click on the envelope icon to send out invitation e-mails to other participants. Applies to both internal and external users. Remember to include the starting time of the conference. You should arrange the starting time of the conference in advance.

Joining using Skype for Business™ or Microsoft Lync™


You can also join an ongoing Vidyo-meeting by using Skype for Business™ or Microsoft Lync™.
